Ba women register impressive start

Ba’s Luisa Tamaitoakula starred in Labasa's 4-2 Digicel Women’s Super League defeat in Subrail Park today.

Labasa made a quick start with Stella Naiwalulevu scoring the first goal in the 16th minute of the match.

But Ba made good attempts and a good setup from veteran Luisa Tamanitoakula saw Narieta Leba giving the equaliser in the 28th minute.

Both teams were held at 1-all at the breather.

The women-in-black came out firing in the second spell with Louisa Simmons extending Ba’s lead to 2-1.

Ba’s captain Luisa Tamaitoakula scored two back to back goals and further extended the lead to 4-1.

The Northerners managed to pull the second goal through Sofi Diyalowai but Ba sealed the victory.
