Nadi holds Nadroga in DPL

Nadi came from behind twice to hold Nadroga to a 2-2 draw in their opening Digicel Premier League fixture at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka today.

Veteran marksman Osea Vakatalesau scored the first goal of the competition with a perfect header from a looping cross by Nigerian Jibola Afonja andgave the hosts an early lead.

Policeman Rahul Krishna leveled scores for the Jetsetters as the teams rested all level 1-1 at halftime.

Vakatalesau put the Stallions ahead again midway in the second spell with a free-kick which gave Nadi goalkeeper Vereti Dickson no chance at all.

Nadroga's celebration was cut short again as Nadi hit back within a minute and  got the equaliser through striker Napolioni Qasevakatini.

Moshin's Insulation sponspored Nadroga will meet Suva in its next match while Ezy Kool/All in One Builders Nadi will play Labasa.
