Niubuto Rugby wins the plate

Niubuto Rugby has won the Plate final defeating Wadigi Salvo by 10-5 at the TC Yasa-Ana Appeal tournament at Nasau Park in Levuka. 

Mataeasi Ratudina broke the Niubuto Rugby’s and scored for Wadigi Salvo but missed the conversion, led by 5-nil.

It was Sevuloni Mocenacagi who sidestepped the Wadigi players and scored a try for Niubuto but Kelevanua missed the conversion.

Both teams were locked 5-all at the break.

Niubuto made a quick change in the second half with seasoned campaigner Pio Tuwai replaced by Jone Vota and Mocenacagi was replaced by Isoa Tabu.

Good ball turnover by Vota saw him score the winning try and sealed the victory.
