Promising youngster set for Nadroga debut

Promising youngster Rahul Naresh is set to make his debut for Nadroga in their Digicel Premier League opener against Nadi at Lawaqa Park today.

The 18-year-old who recently returned to Fiji after a stint in New Zealand with Manukau United almost landed a A-League contract with Melbourne Victory.

Victory scouts had shown interest in signing Naresh but plans were put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Naresh played for Fiji in the OFC U16 Championship in the Solomon Islands in 2018 and represented his home district Ba in few matches before flying to New Zealand.

The Nadroga vs Nadi match kicks off at 3pm.
