Rewa women make impressive start

Rewa registered an impressive 2-0 win over neighbours Tailevu Naitasiri in their opening match of the Digicel Women's Super League at the ANZ Stadium in Suva today.

The Usaia Tadu coached side led 1-0 at the break after Lora Bukalidi, the daughter of former Suva rep Tevita Bukalidi netted their opener in the 30th minute.

Defender Naomi Waqanidrola doubled their lead in the 55th minute and good finish.

Meanwhile second half goals by Ateca Qauia and Verenaisi Uluinasau saw Nadroga defeat Suva 2-0 in another fixture at Lawaqa Park.

Rewa is scheduled to play Nadroga in the next round while Tailevu Naitasiri will meet Ba.
