Safiti siblings named in Knights lineup

Fiji Bati brothers Daniel and Jacob Saifiti have been named in the Newcastle Knights match day squad for their NRL opener against the Bulldogs on Friday.

Daniel will start and captain the team in his 100th NRL game while Jacob joins Sauaso Sue, Brodie Jones and Josh King on the bench, with the latter earning a spot in the Round 1 team for the first time in his career.

Jayden Brailey returns for his first game in 12 months in the No.9 jersey.

The match kicks off at 7pm.

Knights lineup- Tex Hoy, Starford To'a, Enari Tuala, Bradman Best,  Gehamat Shibasaki, Kurt Mann, Mitchell Pearce, David Klemmer, Jayden Brailey (VC), Daniel Saifiti (C), Tyson Frizell, Mitch Barnett, Connor Watson.

Reserves- Sauaso Sue, Jacob Saifiti, Josh King, Brodie Jones, Hymel Hunt, Pasami Saulo, Jack Johns, Simi Sasagi.
