Sahib out for three weeks

Top Lautoka midfielder Zibraaz Sahib will miss three rounds of the Digicel Premier League after sustaining injury on his forehead against Navua last week.

Coach Tagi Vonolagi said it is a big shock for the Blues since Sahib will not be available for the team for three weeks.

“We have only one injury and that Zibraaz Sahib who got injured last week and this he will not play for the next three weeks because this is the advice from the doctor also. We don’t want to risk him because the player’s health is also important.”

Vonolagio said they will consider Muni Shivam Naidu to replace Sahib but there are other players in the team whom he’d give a chance to.

“There are other options in the team and Shivam is on our top list but then we also have to give an opportunity to the players on the bench to prove themselves. We want to see the reserve players giving their best and earning a spot in the team.”

“Playing against Rewa will not be easy because we anticipate a tough side. There are major areas we also lacked which we have been working on. We want to put up a good finishing and beat Rewa with goals,” Vonolagi added.

Lautoka hosts Rewa at 4pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka on Sunday.
