Saifiti returns for Roosters clash

Fiji Bati and Newcastle Knights prop Daniel Saifiti will return against the Roosters in their Round 19 NRL clash on Friday.

Saifiti sustained an ankle injury in the State of Origin third clash and left the field late in the contest but is good to go this week.

His other sibling, Jacob has also been named in the starting team.

Kalyn Ponga and David Klemmer have both been named despite failing HIAs against the Storm.

Klemmer has gone from the starting side to the bench and Lachlan Fitzgibbon goes to the reserves list. Connor Watson will start the game at lock.

Sauaso Sue comes onto the bench. Jack Johns drops to the reserves.

But halfback Mitchell Pearce (hamstring) remains sidelined.

The Knights will meet the Roosters at 8pm.

Knights: Kalyn Ponga, Dominic Young, Kurt Mann, Enari Tuala, Hymel Hunt, Jake Clifford, Phoenix Crossland, Jacob Saifiti, Jayden Brailey, Daniel Saifiti, Tyson Frizell, Mitchell Barnett, Connor Watson.

Reserves: Sauaso Sue, David Klemmer, Josh King, Bordie Jones, Jack Johns, Simi Sasagi, Tex Hoy, Lachlan Fitzgibbon.

Roosters: James Tedesco, Daniel Tupou, Billy Smith, Joseph Manu, Matt Ikuvalu, Drew Hutchison, Sam Walker, Jared Waera-Hargreaves, Sam Verrils, Isaac Liu, Angus Crichton, Sitili Tupouniua, Victor Radley.

Reserves: Lachlan lam, Nat Butcher, Egan Butcher, Siosiua Taukeiaho, Adam Keighran, Fletchers Baker, Josh Morris, Ben Thomas.
