Fiji thumps Great Britain, tops pool

Fiji thumped Great Britain 33-7 in its final pool match of Tokyo Olympics today to finish on top in Pool B.

The Fijians displayed a much improved performance and scored three unanswered tries in the first half through Asaeli Tuivuaka, Sireli Maqala and Jiuta Wainiqolo to lead 19-0 at halftime.

Tuivuaka scored again after the break as the Great Britain defence wilted under pressure.

Aminiasi Tuimaba scored Fiji's fifth and final try of the match after coming off the bench.

Fiji will now play in the last Quarterfinal at 10pm.
