Discipline is key, says Seruvakula

Fijiana XVs Head Coach Senirusi Seruvakula has reminded his extended squad members that discipline is the key to success.

Seruvakula reflected that the Fiji 7s and Fijiana 7s had discipline within them and that is the reason why they secured medal wins at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

“We always tell the players that everything depends on discipline and if you have the right attitude to do what has been required of you then you will have the taste of success. Just like the Fiji 7s and our Fijiana 7s sisters, they were in their discipline form and their success was the Gold and Bronze medals.”

“The same discipline is what we want to see form the extended squad members before and during the Rugby World Cup next year. We want to see positive attitude from the girls because playing in the World Cup will not be easy and we have witnessed playing against tough teams.”

“The attitude which the players show speaks volume and we do appreciate players being humble and are aware of what their roles and responsibilities are. We do have seen competitions within the squad and players are taking the camp training seriously,” he added.

The Rugby World Cup will take place next year in New Zealand.
