Maqala wants to stick to 7s rugby

2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Sireli Maqala wants to play more 7s rugby and has down an offer to join French club Bayonne.

Maqala told FijiLive that he wants to gain experience with the Fiji 7s team under the guidance of Coach Gareth Baber.

Maqala said he wants to learn more about rugby from experienced players like Captain Jerry Tuwai and Asaeli Tuivuaka.

The Fiji 7s 13th man also mentioned that he would love to be part of Fijian Drua and is waiting for the World Sevens Series to commence.

He got united with his loved ones yesterday after completing 4-day quarantine in Labasa.
