Rabbitohs beat Panthers in qualifying final

The South Sydney Rabbitohs defeated Viliame Kikau and Api Koroisau's Penrith Panthers 16-10 in their NRL qualifying final last night.

The Rabbitohs drew first blood via a penalty goal from Adam Reynolds.

The Panthers got a try through Stephen Crichton in the 8th minute of the match which Nathan Cleary converted but the Rabbitohs replied quickly through Cody Walker’s try and Reynolds converted.

Panthers were given two penalties which Cleary took successfully but frequent mistakes created opportunity for the Rabbitohs and Reynolds slotted a penalty goal to level the scores 10-10 at the breather.

The Bunnies sealed the win with a second half try from Cody Walker and departing skipper Reynolds continued striking with a final penalty.
