Safety of players is paramount: O'Connor

Fiji Rugby Union chief executive John O’Connor says the health and safety of Fiji 7s team players and officials is paramount.

O’Connor said this in relation to Fiji’s participation at the Vancouver 7s which will take place next month.

He said they are assessing the current COVID-19 pandemic situation in Fiji and the challenges players are facing and also mentioned they are still in discussion with World Rugby with regards to Fiji’s participation in the tournament.

O'Connor said their priority is to see that players and officials are in their safe zone.
