Wainiqolo scores try of his life

Fiji 7s winger Jiuta Wainiqolo scored the try of his life on Tuesday after getting married to his girlfriend Fiona Weleilakeba at their family residence in Navua.

The 22-year-old was a sensation for Fiji in the Tokyo Olympics last month and finished as the team's top try scorer with five tries.

He has also secured a French Top 14 contract with Toulon and will fly out with his newly wedded wife as soon as their visas are approved.

Wainiqolo started his sporting career as a footballer and represented Vashist Muni Primary and Vashist Muni College as well as Fiji U17 and U20 before switching to rugby.

He represented Ratu Kadavulevu School in Tailevu in the Deans competition and was part of the school's U18 winning team.

Wainiqolo has also represented the Fijian Drua and the Flying Fijians.
