Blake to miss Panthers clash

Parramatta Eels will miss the services of Fiji Bati centre Waqa Blake in their final round NRL clash against old rivals Penrith Panthers on Friday.

Blake is serving a one match suspension and will be replaced by Tom Opacic, who returns from rib injury and will partner Michael Oldfield in the centres.

Junior Paulo will miss the game after he was hit with a one-game suspension for a shoulder charge and skipper Clint Gutherson sustained knee injury with Hayze Perham taking over at fullback in his first game for the club.

Back-rowers Marata Niukora is out after suffering a head knock against the Storm while prop Isaiah Papali'i and lock Nathan Brown are being rested ahead of the finals.

Oregon Kaufusi, Makahesi Makatoa, Bryce Cartwright, Keegan Hipgrave and Ray Stone all come into the starting pack.

Debutants Samuel Loizou and Ky Rodwell and second-gamer Shaun Russell are the new faces on the bench alongside Shaun Lane, who suffered a head knock last weekend but has been named to play.

Will Smith and Jake Arthur are the halves with Dylan Brown and Mitch Moses being rested.

The Eels will face the Panthers at 10.05pm.
