Drua home likely to be in Queensland

Newly appointed interim Fijian Drua chief executive Brian Thorburn says the squad is most likely to settle down in Queensland Australia.

Thorburn said the Drua team will march into the camp in October and quarantine ahead of November in Australia.

“We have an extraordinary amount of logistical matters to where we base ourselves, so we prepare and look after our players. We have got advance plans which we will share next month as they unfold. But in terms of transport gyms, catering, accommodation-there a long list of logistics to get moving on.”

“As much as our match tours are concerned, we are working with New Zealand Rugby and Rugby Australia in finalising the draw. We know who the teams are and the length of the competition but we don’t know at this moment who would be playing at home, who would be playing away and the sequence of those matches. We expect to get that information in the next seven days.”
