Drua will remain a separate entity, O’Connor

Fiji Rugby Union chief executive John O’Connor has made it clear that Fijian Drua will continue to remain a separate entity.

O’Connor said FRU is just helping the Drua franchise for the 2022 Super Rugby Pacific competition.

He said FRU is also trying to help set up an entire Drua board and management ahead of the competition next year.

He mentioned the set up works have already begun with the appointment of Brian Thorburn as the interim Drua chief executive.

O’Connor also said that Fijian Drua will operate on their own and form their own company.
