Kikau, Koroisau retain spot against Eels

Fiji Bati duo Viliame Kikau and Apisai Koroisau have been named in the starting line-up against the Parramatta Eels in the final round of NRL tomorrow.

Kikau will start at second-row forward while Koroisau has been named to start at hooker but is also trying to recover.

Kikau has troubled the defence on every occasion as the Panthers ran out 30-16 winners over Wests Tigers at Redcliffe.

Kikau had a day to remember as he made 209 metres (80 post contact), 28 tackles, 11 tackle breaks, 4 offloads and 2 line breaks. He capped off his afternoon with a four-pointer in the 49th minute of the game.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has opted against resting players ahead of the NRL Finals and instead named the same 17-man squad that defeated Wests Tigers last Sunday.

Spencer Leniu, who sustained an ankle injury has been listed among the reserves and could be in line for a return should Ivan Cleary decide to rest one of his forwards late in the week.

Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary has won 35 of his past 37 NRL games.

The Panthers will take on the Eels at 10.05pm on Friday.

Panthers: Dylan Edwards, Stephen Crichton, Paul Momirovski, Matt Burton, Brain To’o, Jarome Luai, Nathan Cleary, Moses Leota, Apisai Koroisau, James Fisher-Harris, Viliame Kikau, Kurt Capewell, Isaah Yeo

Reserves: Tyrone May, Scott  Soresen, Tevita Pangai Junior, Liam Martin, Spencer Leniu, Izack Tago, Taylan May, Micth Kenny
