No Vancouver 7s for Fiji confirms O’Connor

Fiji Rugby Union chief executive John O’Connor has confirmed that the Fiji 7s team will not participate at the Vancouver 7s next month.

O’Connor said players just returned from the Tokyo Olympics retaining the Gold and asking them to get into quarantine again is not a good decision.

He said that “players have come to a stage where quarantine does not suit them. Being in quarantine is not easy.”

He mentioned the Fiji 7s team is focused on preparing for the next series and the CommonWealth games.
