Fijiana makes winning start in Dubai

Fijiana registered an impressive 28-12 win over Ireland in their first match of the Dubai 7s today.

Tries from Reapi Uluinasau and Ana Maria Naimasi together with successful conversions from Naimasi saw the Fijians lead 14-0 at halftime.

Amee-Leigh Murphy's try early in the second half got Ireland back into the game, but tries from Sesenieli Donu and Laisana Likuceva sealed victory for Fijiana.

The Saiasi Fuli coached side will meet Canada in its next match at 8.56pm (Fiji Time).

Results so far: Fijiana 28-12 Ireland, Aust 45-5 USA, Great Britain 12-7 Russia, France 31-0 Spain, Aust 34-0 Spain.
