Botitu to stay with Castres until 2025

Top 14 side Castre-Olympique has extended Olympic Gold medalist Vilimoni Botitu's playing contract until 2025.

Head coach Pierre- Henry Broncan highlighted the added strength Botitu bought to the club was evident on the field.

“He brings great added value to our team, he is a shy boy who expresses himself fully on the pitch,” Broncan told castres-olympique.com.

“A player in who we believe a lot, undoubtedly a future star of the 2023 World Cup.”

“Boti is our Olympic Champion.”

The former Fiji 7s star has played 14 league matches this season, with great technical qualities which make him one of the main animators for Castres at the centres.

Botitu, 23 said he was also pleased to be performing well with the club.

“It is a great pride to continue the adventure with the club,” Botitu said.

“The OC helped me grow and gain confidence as a rugby player, and get me into professional rugby.”
