Fijian talents need recognition: Gollings

Fiji 7s Head Coach Ben Gollings says Fiji has a lot of talented rugby players who need to be recognised through domestic competitions.

Gollings said Fiji produces a lot of men and women rugby players who could be part of the national team in the next two years.

"I'm surprised. I saw players at Marist which I never saw."

"They are just outstanding and fast skilled players."

"They have certain talents that make me feel they will be in the main team maybe next year, or year after next year."

"Those players need recognition and a little boost so that they can broaden their 7s knowledge."

After the Under 21 finals, Gollings said that he has eyed some young talents which he hopes to include in the team.

"There are vast talents and what I saw is that players have the wanting to play ability in them."

"Fijians are just so passionate about rugby that I saw at Marist."

"That has impressed me and yes, we might include some in our extended squad later this year," he added.
