Nasinu eyes more wins in DPL

Nasinu is eying more wins in the Digicel Premier League after recovering from three losses and beating Navua 1-0 in Round 7 at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Coach Mira Sahib said at the beginning of the season, they had set a target to win the competition but now with some losses in the bag, they are aiming to win as many matches possible and finish well.

"This is a new team with many young players. The players are improving game by game and the team is also becoming consistent."

"Though we have not won many games, we have scored goals in nearly all the matches and this shows that our players are not goal-shy and can match any opponent in  the country."

"We just need to fine-tune play in some aspects to become better. We have the fitness but it is just the decision making bit that is a drawback factor but we hope to improve and put on a better show in our next game."

Sahib also highlighted that he has a big pool of players and is trying his best to give game time to all so he can identify his best starting lineup.

"All the players are outstanding and capable and as a Coach it is my duty to ensure they get game time and play in the positions that suits them better. Player rotation is important in any team and I am testing players in different positions to ensure I get the best out of them and also get the results that we desire."

NZOTC Nasinu will face Nadroga in Round 8 of the DPL at Prince Charles Park in Nadi on Sunday.

The match will kick off at 12pm.
