Pacific Tests a 'blessing', says Rabele

Vodafone Fiji Bati Coach Jo Rabele believes the upcoming Pacific Tests will be a ‘rehearsal’ for the side’s preparation into this year’s Rugby League World Cup.

With their first test in two years a month away, Rabele said it was perfect timing.

“It is indeed  a blessing, for the past two years we haven’t been playing together, so it will be a good rehearsal time for our team,” Rabele said.

Rabele said a 25-member squad had already been selected which would later be refined to an 18 member travelling squad.

Three positions for local players will also be made available for the Pacific Tests.

Fiji Bati will take on the PNG Kumuls on June 25 at Campbelltown Stadium in Sydney.
