Samusamuvodre fulfills dream

Fijian Drua debutant Tuidraki Samusamuvodre says he would fulfill a lifelong dream when he runs on against the Waratahs in his first Super Rugby match today.

Samusamuvodre said growing up, he always dreamt of playing in Super Rugby and watched big teams like the Crusaders.

The Narewa villager from Nadi said it was not without the backbone support of his family that has bought him this far.

“Credits to my family and loved ones back home in Fiji, for all they have done, especially with the sacrifices and troubles they have gone through.

Samusamuvodre was injured during the preseason internal Fiji Drua game and is raring to get back on the pitch after nine weeks away.

“I am grateful and blessed that I am here now, and with a chance to run on.”

Samusamuvodre starts on the run on team on the openside wing in jersey number 14.

The Fijian Drua take on the Waratahs at 8.45pm tonight at Cbus Super Stadium.
