Win against Suva is crucial: Valentine

Nadi football side is fully aware how crucial the match is going to be against Suva in round 8 of Digicel Premier League tomorrow.

Midfielder William Valentine said the side has been fighting tooth and nail to prepare after their three consecutive losses in the league.

He said the side feels like an injured lion and are chasing for a win against the Capital city tomorrow.

“Last week’s loss is a wakeup call for us and we know the match against Suva will be crucial.”

“Playing Suva has always been tough but I’m confident we are going to do better this week.”

“Yes, we made some minor mistakes but then realised that we could have taken advantage and scored goals but now we have been rectifying that.”

The Jetsetters are currently on the sixth spot with six points and have been working on their consistency.

“It’s just that we are not consistent with our finishing.”

“Sometimes we rush into the match and make decisions that affect our scoring opportunities.”

“We have played Suva before and we know they will be tough on us but we won’t take them easily.”

A1 Builders Nadi will host Sharma's (USA) Investment Suva at 2pm at Prince Charles Park tomorrow.
