The Ba football team is looking to end its 12-year-old drought at this year's Digicel Fiji FACT tournament later this month.
The Men-In-Black won the Fiji FACT last time in 2010 when they defeated Navua by 1-nil at Churchill Park but this year, they have aimed to take the title home.
Head Coach Imdad Ali said the side will be playing some warm-up matches before they approach the tournament as underdogs.
"It's been a long time since we won the Fiji FACT tournament and yes, we want to end the losing drought this year."
"We took out our weaknesses from the league games and have been training on that because we don’t want our weakness to hinder our performance at the tournament."
"We had a slow start in the league this year but then we started to win games and bounce back like underdogs and that has motivated the players that Ba can win the Fiji FACT tournament."
"Our midfield and defence was poor but now the boys are back on the training field and we have started to make amendments to that."
"Everyone is working really hard to win the tournament and we will be playing some friendly matches just to give game time to our boys and assess their individual performances."
The 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT pool draws will take place at the Fiji FA Headquarters in Vatuwaqa tomorrow.
