Duo to feature against Fijiana

Ex Fijiana and NSW Waratahs halfback Iliseva Batibasaga and Australian-born Fijian Sera Naiqama have been named in the Wallaroos squad to take on Fijiana XVs in their first test today.
 
Batibasaga is not new to playing against her fellow country ladies as she is named in the starting line-up but Wallaroos mainstay Naiqama is in line for a long-awaited Wallaroos debut from the bench.
 
Wallaroos coach Jay Tregonning has named 11 debutants on match day with former Sevens star Georgina Friedrichs headlines the new faces, coming into the centres alongside fellow Waratah Pauline Piliae.
 
"This Test against Fiji, as well as our next Test against Japan on the Gold Coast on Tuesday, represent the start of a new era for the Buildcorp Wallaroos as we build up to the Rugby World Cup later this year," Tregonning said.
 
The Fijiana vs Wallaroos match kicks off at 7pm today.
 
Wallaroos team to play Fijiana: Liz Patu, Adiana Talakai, Bridie O’Gorman, Michaela Leonard, Kaitlan Leaney, Emily Chancellor, Shannon Parry (C), Grace Hamilton, Iliseva Batibasaga, Arabella McKenzie, Ivania Wong, Pauline Piliae, Georgina Friedrichs, Mahalia Murphy, Lori Cramer
 
Replacements: Ashley Marsters, Madison Schuck, Asoiva (Eva) Karpani, Sera Naiqama, Piper Duck, Layne Morgan, Trilleen Pomare, Jemima McCalman
