Eels' extend Sivo's contract till 2023

Fiji Bati winger Maika Sivo will remain with the Parramatta Eels until the end of the 2023 after exercising an option in his contract.

Sivo has not been available for the Eels since the early rounds of the National Rugby (NRL) Telstra Premiership after rupturing his ACL in August last year.

But the club has forecasted some good news saying the 2019 debutant will make his return from a long-term knee injury in the coming weeks.’

He has played 69 games in total with a superb try-scoring record that saw him named the Dally M Top Try Scorer in 2019.

Parramatta Eels General Manager Mark O’Neill said Sivo is incredibly powerful, he can score tries from seemingly impossible positions and they are happy with the extended stay.

In Round 11 of NRL, the Eels will take on the Sea Eagles at 9.55pm on Friday.
