Fijiana cruise into Toulouse 7s semis

Fijiana has booked its place in the Cup semifinals of Toulouse 7s after outclassing hosts France 24-12 in the quarterfinals this morning.

The Saiasi Fuli coached side was ruthless from the opening whistle and scored three tries through Lavenia Cavuru, Aloesi Nakoci and Ana Maria Naimasi to lead 19-0 at halftime.

Captain Rusila Nagasau scored Fiji's fourth and final try straight after the break, and the Fijians managed to sustain pressure from the hosts although they managed to score two tries through Joanna Grisez and  Ian Jason.

Fijiana will meet Olympic champions New Zealand in the first semifinal at 11.30pm tonight while Ireland will face Series winners Australia at 11.52pm.

The Cup final will be played at 3.56am.
