Fitness remains a concern for defending champions Suva ahead of the 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT which kicks off on the 22nd of this month.
Suva FA President Ritesh Pratap said while they have made huge improvement in their midfield and finishing areas, fitness is something that is still lacking in the team.
"Suva has been doing good in the League so far. We conceded some unwanted goals and that did affect our points because we had to go for draws."
"Some of our players are struggling with their fitness and that’s a major factor in the team."
"The reason is clear because of the recent unfavourable weather conditions and then we did not have a venue for training and that has been hindering our team training."
"Fiji FACT will be the first big tournament since CVC last year and FACT will require a lot of fitness and we have to improve our performance because every team will come for a win.
After Fiji FACT, we will have the continuation of League games and to maintain our position we need to work on our fitness which will determine our stand in the competition," he added.
The Ram's Cleaning Services sponsored unbeaten Whites are in Group B with rivals Ba, Nadroga, Nasinu and Tailevu Naitasiri.
