Fiji Bati and South Sydney Rabbitohs centre Taane Milne scored a brace of tries but suffered a 32-12 defeat to the Brisbane Broncos in round 9 of NRL yesterday.
The Broncos got on the board first through winger Corey Oates before Adam Reynolds went over to get their second try and he also converted for a 12-nil lead.
The Rabbitohs were denied a try when Taane Milne lost the ball attempting to score in the 18th minute but he later turned hero bringing the side back in the game with their first try with a slick scrum play on the right edge ensuring he put the ball down this time and Blake Taaffe converted.
The Broncos led by 12-6 at half time.
Errors by the Rabbitohs in the second half gave Broncos the advantage of and Selwyn Cobbo pulled their third try in the 51st mkinute and Reynolds converted.
But the Rabbitohs gave in a quick response through Milne again with another right-edge raid to get back while Taaffe converted to cut down the gap to 18-12.
An error from the kick restart of Rabbitohs handed the Broncos earning a penalty goal through Reynolds before Herbie Farnworth and Cobbo bulldozed the Rabbitohs defence scoring back to back converted tries to seal the win.
