Montoya back from suspension

Fijian international and New Zealand Warriors winger Marcelo Montoya returns from suspension to play the South Sydney Rabbitohs in round 10 of NRL on Saturday.

 

Montoya missed the last four matches against Sydney Roosters, Melbourne, Canberra and Cronulla Sutherland over a homophobic slur a month ago.

 

Montoya has been immediately reinstated on the left wing after serving his four-match ban on a contrary conduct offence which ruled him out of the games against the

 

The consistent Montoya had contributed impressively to the club’s run of three straight wins before his suspension; now he’s back in his accustomed spot replacing Adam Pompey who has been moved into the centres.

 

Captain Tohu Harris will play his long-awaited first match of the season and having him with Montoya in the side gives the Warriors a significant lift after Sunday's disappointing loss to a 12-man Sharks side.

 

The Warriors vs Rabbitohs match kicks off at 5pm on Saturday.
