Valetini to miss Crusaders clash

The Brumbies will miss the services of prolific ball hunter Rob Valetini in their big Super Rugby Pacific clash against the Crusaders on Friday after he sustained a hamstring injury.

The burly Fijian picked up the injury during their 38-28 Super Rugby clash over the weekend.

Coach Dan McKellar expecting him on the sidelines for a couple of weeks.

"It happens, doesn’t it? We play a contact sport and it’s unfortunate injuries occur to anyone at any stage,” coach Dan McKellar told rugby.com.au.

“We’ve just got to get on with it.

“We can’t drop our bottom lip and we feel like the squad is well prepared to handle setbacks like this.”

Lock forward Tom Hooper shifts to blind side flanker to cover for Valetini who will away from competition for awhile.

“He’s a good young footballer with a great attitude.

“He’s been superb off the bench and the game he started.

“He’s no Rob Valetini, I want him to play how Tommy Hooper does and he’ll bring a whole lot of repeat efforts and carries.”

The Brumbies have gone on a roll beating three New Zealand teams in a row.
