Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Jiuta Wainiqolo was the toss of the day as he scored the winning try for Toulon to beat Saracens by 25-16 and book a spot in the European Challenge Cup final today.
Both teams entered the match with the motive to clinch a win and book a spot in the final.
But it was Gabin Villiere, who broke the deadlock with back to back tries and Louis Carbonel converted once.
But their happiness was cut short when Saracen bounced back in the game with a try from Ben Earl and Owen Farrell converted to cut the margin down.
Minutes later, Carbonel booted a penalty to extend Toulon’s lead but their joy was brought down when Farrell kicked to penalties.
Yet, Toulon had a narrow 15-13 lead at half time.
Saracens struggled to find rhythm against Toulon's physicality, but clawed their way back with another Farrell penalty.
Toulon produced what proved the knockout blow on the hour mark with another stylish try as Wainiqolo cut in and left three defenders standing to cross under the posts while Carbonel converted and slotted the final penalty to seal the win.
The Challenge Cup final in Marseille will be played on 27 May.
