Fijian trio in Australia A squad for PNC

Fijian exponents Seru Uru, Filipo Daugunu and Mark Nawaqanitawase have been named in the Australia A side for next month's Pacific Nations Cup.

Waratahs assistant coach Jason Gilmore has included the trio in his 29-member squad which will travel to Fiji on July 2nd.

The squad includes eight capped Wallabies including the likes of utility back Reece Hodge.

"The team has a good combination of experienced and young players and I think the team will get a lot out of the upcoming tournament in Fiji," Gilmore said in a statement.

“Looking at some of the names included in the squad, it is apparent that the depth within Australian Rugby continues to grow and I think our inclusion in the Pacific Nations Cup will be beneficial.”

The Australia A assembles on Sunday June 26 in Sydney before travelling to Fiji for their first game on Saturday 2 July against Samoa in Suva.

They will play the Flying Fijians on July 9 at Churcill Park in Lautoka before finishing off the tournament against Tonga
