Fijiana 7s extended squad named for CGs

A 20-member Fijiana 7s extended squad has been named for the 2022 Commonwealth Games which will be held in Birmingham next month.
 
Team Fiji Chef de Mission Sale Sorovaki made the announcement while announcing Team Fiji at the Olympic House in Suva today.
 
The squad includes 13 players from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics bronze win that are Rusila Nagasau, Vasiti Solikoviti, Raijeli Daveua, Sesenieli Donu, Ana Maria Roqica, Lavenia Tinai, Reapi Uluinasau, Lavenia Cavuru, Viniana Riwai, Ana Maria Naimasi, Alowesi Nakoci, Laisani Likuceva, Tokasa Seniyas
 
2 newly experienced players are Adi Vani Buleki andMereula Toroti.
 
The squad also has 5 newcomers and they are Maria Rokotuisiga, Luisa Tisolo, Laisani Mocesawana, Ivamere Rokowati, and Verenaisi Ditavutu.
 
Sorovaki also said the final selection of both the men's and women's squads will be done on the 11 of July before both the teams fly out to the United Kingdom for training ahead of the Games in Birmingham.
