Moceisawana eager to shine in 7s

Fijiana 7s debutant Laisani Moceisawana is looking to make an impact while gaining valuable experience at the Oceania 7s tournament in Auckland this weekend.

The 2017 Coca-Cola Games blue ribbon winner scored her first try in Fiji colours during their 19-14 loss to Black Ferns Pango in their third game of the tournament today.

“I am looking forward to learning as much as I can, in every game I play,” the former Adi Cakobau School student told FijiLive.

“It isn’t easy coming to this sport with nothing but experience in athletics, but I have learnt a lot and look to learn more.

Moceisawana and Laisana Likuceva scored a try each on either side of the half during the match.

The Black Ferns Pango managed tries from Tysha Ikenasio, Georgia Daals and Olympic Gold medalist Ruby Tui scored a try each for the New Zealand side to give them a 19-5 lead at the break.

The Fijiana have yet to notch a win at the tournament in three games so far.

The Fijiana 7s will play the Black Ferns Ma at 6.12pm.
