The Flying Fijians' campaign for the 2022 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup has received a major financial boost with Vodafone Fiji taking over the naming rights of the team.
Vodafone Fiji chief marketing officer Rajnesh Prasad said ‘Rugby is at the heart of our nation' and it brings out the cheers and highlights the true spirit of togetherness.
"We continue to support various levels of sports in the country. Our utmost pride in serving our country brings us pride in supporting the grassroots and seeing them grow and develop over the years to represent our nation."
"Vodafone Fiji is happy to be back to support the Flying Fijians team. Vodafone has committed to supporting the sport through our partnership with FRU for over two decades. As we get close to celebrating Vodafone's 28th birthday, our commitment adds to the celebrations in bringing cheers to the Fijian household with the coming matches."
Fiji Rugby Union chief executive John O’Connor extended his gratitude to Vodafone Fiji for their generous support towards the July international meets.
"We are thankful to Vodafone for their steadfast support and we are also extremely grateful to the team at Vodafone Fiji for their loyalty and ongoing trust through sponsoring the Flying Fijians for the Pacific Nations Cup."

The Vodafone Flying Fijians will face Tonga, Australia A and Samoa in the three-week competition which kicks off next Saturday at the HFC National Stadium in Suva.
