Ratuniyarawa to see family after 3 years

Vodafone Flying Fijians veteran Api Ratuniyarawa is looking forward to meeting his family members after three years.

The 35-year-old lock from Navisabasaba village in Nadroga expects to make-up for lost time while here for the Pacific Nations Cup.

“It is good to be back in the country. It's after three years now and it’s a good feeling to come and see my family,” Ratuniyarawa said.

The senior warhorse who has represented Fiji at two Rugby World Cups said he is excited to see what the current national squad holds and the caliber of players it includes.

“It is exciting, we have been working hard with a week of preparation in Nadi, and the boys have really done the hard yards.”

“It’s awesome to see that a good mix of old heads and young boys in the team too."

With the return of test level rugby, the former Northhampton Saints rep said they of course expect a big weekend against Tonga.

“Everyone is looking forward to a big test match this week, it is always physical playing Tonga, and for us we have to prepare well.”
