Ravalawa grabs double in Dragons win

Fiji Bati winger Mikaele Ravalawa scored a brace of tries in Saint George Illawarra Dragons' 32-12 win over the Sydney Rabbitohs in Round 15 of NRL yesterday.

Dragons made the first move shedding the blood through Ben Hunt who chipped over the top for Zac Lomax taking the return pass and scoring the opening try while Lomax converted.

Seven minutes later, Ravalawa celebrated his return from a hamstring injury by finishing off superb lead-up work by young playmaker Talatau Amone and the score was 12-0 after Lomax’s conversion.

Jack de Belin was faithful in raptures when he powered through a Tom Burgess tackle to cross for his third try of the season and the Dragons were keeping pace with the clock.

In the 19th minute, Ravalawa had a double when he took a flick pass from Lomax and turned Alex Johnston inside out to make it 20-0 but the conversion failed.

Dragons got two more tries from Moses Suli and Cody Ramsey while Lomax added the conversion for a 32-0 lead at halftime.

The Rabbitohs came out strong in the second stanza when Dragons were reduced to 12 men as Talatau Amone copped a yellow card.

Dragons could not score any point while the Rabbitohs took advantage of the situation through Damien Cook and Cameron Murray while Kodi Nikorima converted both tries.
