Rawaca back in Fiji 7s squad

Savenaca Rawaca, a member of Fiji's 2016 Olympic gold medal winning squad has been recalled into the Fiji 7s training squad.

The Bua bullet adds to the list of former Fiji 7s stars recalled by coach Ben Gollings including Semi Kunatani, Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Vatemo Ravouvou.

The 30-year-old speed merchant was part of the team’s training session at the Sand Dunes in Sigatoka and is expected to feature for the Fiji 7s team at the Oceania 7s tournament later this month.

Rawaca, however has not been named in the Fiji 7s team for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

He played 93 matches under former coach Ben Ryan and scored 77 tries on the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series circuit.
