Sivo scores in impressive Eels win

Fiji Bati winger Maika Sivo scored a try in Parramatta Eels' 26-16 win over the Sydney Roosters in Round 15 of the NRL on Saturday.

The Roosters made a quick start with Joseph Suaalii scoring the opening try of the match in the third minute and Sam Walkers converted for a 6-0 lead.

The Eels gave a timely response through Dylan Brown, Isaiah Papali'i and Clinton Gutherson while Mitchell Moses converted twice only for a 16-6 lead.

Sivo made an impressive return to the NRL after a knee reconstruction and finished what was arguably the try of the year after a movement involving 12 sets of hands in the first half.

It was Sitili Tupouniua who tried to bring back the Roosters back in the game with a try and Sam Walker converted to cut down the margin before the Eels produced their final try through Reed Mahoney and Moses converted for a 26-12 lead at half time.

The Roosters bounced back in the second stanza scoring the only try in the remaining 40 minutes through Joseph Suaalii pulling his double but Walker failed to convert.
