We were determined to win: Radrodro

Veteran Number 8 Eremasi Radrodro says Nadroga entered the pitch determined to topple Nadi and wrestle the Inkk Farebrother Sullivan trophy away from them on Saturday.

With a young and new look side, the Stallions walked away with a 20-19 victory at Prince Charles in front of more than 10,000 spectators.

“We knew there would be no other result, we were going to win,” said a confident Radrodro.

“We knew Nadi were a more than capable team and we had to be at more than our best during the game.

“Hats off to the young players who stood up and got the win, they are  the future of Nadroga rugby.”

BLK Nadroga Captain Ratunaisa Navuma said the win was dedicated to all supporters and people of Nadroga.

“This win is for the vanua and everyone that has supported Nadroga rugby, we are honoured to have made you proud.”

Rewa will be the next challenger for the Farebrother trophy.
