Door remains open for Koroisau: Rabele

Vodafone Fiji Bati coach Joe Rabele says the door remains open for Penrith Panthers rep Apisai Koroisau.

The 29-year-old has signalled his interest to play for Australia in this year’s Rugby League World Cup with Rabele saying that is a normal move.

“Everyone wants to play for Australia in the Rugby League World Cup, they are the dream team want it comes to rugby league, and Api’s intentions are understandable,” Rabele said.

“It might be his last world cup, and if he wants to do so representing Australia, we will support him too it.”

Rabele added the door doesn’t close for Koroisau if he does not get selected to represent the Kangaroos.

“Koroisau is still in our extended squad, he is a professional, and unparalleled in the position he plays, and will definitely get a Fiji Bati call up if he is interested.”

Rabele added he would be departing for Australia to see his National Rugby League based players soon.
