Fijiana wallop PNG in 24-try romp

The Rooster Chicken Fijiana 15s wiped-out Papua New Guinea 152-0 in the opening round of the Oceania Women’s Championship in Auckland today.

The Senirusi Seruvakula coached side scored 24 tries in the one sided affair and even a yellow card did not slow the onslaught.

Fijiana led 72-0 at halftime.

Tries rained in from Fulori Nabura, Mereoni Vonosere, Talei Wilson, Evivi Senikaviri, Sulita Waisega, Vika Matarugu, Adita Milinia, Reijieli Laqereqeretabua Joma Rubuti Bulou Vasuturaga, Ilisapeci Delaiwau, Merevesi Ofakimalino, Kolora Lomani, Merewalesi Rokouono Unaisi Tagabale and Vitalina Naikore.

Naikore, Rokouono and Wainikiti Vosadrau converted 15 tries between them

The Fijiana will look to back up their performance as they take on Tonga in their next match on Wednesday.
