Fijiana XVs break multiple records

The Fijiana XVs broke multiple world records after their 152-0 win over Papua New Guinea in the Oceania Championship in Auckland on Saturday.

Fiji scored 152 points, which according to Oceania Rugby, surpassed the women’s record set by the Netherlands vs Denmark in 2004 (141-3) and the All Blacks’ total of 146 against Japan in 1995.

The 152-point margin also passed the Wallabies’ 142-point win against Namibia at the 2003 Rugby World Cup.

The team scored 24 tries (another record) with 17 of the 23 players getting on the scoresheet.

Rooster Chicken Fijiana will play Tonga in its next match at 7pm on Wednesday.
