Nasinu to improve in midfield and attack

Nasinu Coach Shivam Nathan says they lack badly in midfield and finishing and need huge improvement before facing leaders Rewa in Round 13 of the Digicel Premier League on Sunday.

Nathan said weak play in the forwards and midfield resulted in their narrow 1-0 loss to Nadi.

He said their midfield did not combine well with the striking force and they failed to capitalise on the chances given by Nadi in the first half.

"I think we could have scored at least two goals in the first half because Nadi seemed less settled."

"We had a lot of chances that went begging because our midfield was slow and that hindered our strikers from getting the finishing balls."

"I believe we just need to start creating chances from the midfield and that will help in pushing forward our strikers and they can score."

"Much focus is on our midfielders and strikers because they need to be trained thoroughly at their positions and also their fitness."

"Also we are encouraging the players to attend the training regularly so that we work as a team and improve on the other aspects of the game."

"Winning our games has become necessary because Nadroga and Tailevu Naitasiri are not far from us," he added.
