Police Sharks feel the heat

Defending Vodafone Cup champions Police Sharks are bracing for a tough competition this season as new clubs are turning on the heat.

Sharks manager Akuila Rokotua said the battle is next level.

"The new teams have made their own name in the Vodafone Cup, and bring the competition to another level," Rokotua.

"For the Sharks we welcome the challenge that comes with it, not only does it make the games more interesting it is great to see the development and interest in the sport from all over the country."

With the elimination rounds set to begin, Rokotua said the 'fun' begins now.

"All the teams are very strong, for Police, we cant write anyone off and have to treat the games and teams with equal respect, because anyone can create an upset especially at the elimination stage."

"We are working hard and are confident of defending our title again this year."
