Six 7s stars in Fijiana WCup squad

Six 7s players who were part of the national team which won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games last year and silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games have been named in the final Fijiana XVs squad for the World Cup in New Zealand.

The six include Captain Rusila Nagasau, Ana Naimasi, Sesenieli Donu, Lavena Cavuru, Raijieli Daveua and winger Aloesi Nakoci.

Another Olympic bronze medallist, Roela Radiniyavuni, who switched to 15s earlier this year, is also in the squad.

Fijiana will open its World Cup campaign against England on 8 October at 4.45pm at the famous Eden Park in Auckland.

Fijiana squad- Joma Rubuti, Bitila Tawake, Mereoni Vonosere, Asinate Serevi, Sulita Waisega,, Karalaini Naisewa, Ema Adivitaloga, Sereima Leweniqila, Ana Maria Roqica, Merewalesi Rokouono, Vitalina Naikore, Akanisi Sokoiwasa, Raijieli Laqeretabua, Ilisapeci Delaiwau, Alowesi Nakoci, Jiowana Sauto, Iris Verebalavu, Bulou Vasuturaga, Merevesi Ofakimalino, Akosita Ravato, Rusila Nagasau, Timaima Ravisa, Roela Radiniyavuni, Siteri Rasolea, Vika Matarugu, Raijieli Daveua, Kolora Lomani, Melaia Matanatabu, Ana Maria Naimasi, Talei Wilson, Sesenieli Donu, Lavena Cavuru.
